Starting fee includes:

• full closed roads for the riders at least with 30 km/h average. A special marked car will do the route with 30 km/g average pace. If the special car overlapping a rider, then she/he is out of the full road closure. The rider can continue until the finish on partly closed roads.
• 4 feed zones (3 on the course, 1 in the finish area)
• chip timing
• start number
• 1 pcs of Balatonfondo designed cycling cap with RRP of 17 Euros
• trophies in many different age categories (see below)
• 1 energy gel as part of the starting package
• medical assistance during the race and in the start/finish area
• neutral cars during the race. two neutral car will follow the granfondo. In case of material problem, they can help you to fix it. In case the rider is not able to continue the grandfondo, the neutral car can take her/him to the finish
• Photos of the participants (download for a fee)
• The main raffle price is a Cervelo carbon road bike in value of 3.000 Euros
• 27% VAT

Starting Fees

• ONLINE:
• payment online with banc card
• early bird entry fee until 30.06.2024: 45 Euro
• normal entry fee until 10.09.2024: 50 Euro
• ON SITE:
• on site early fee until 55 Euro (on site payment only in cash)

On site registration and start package pick up:

• Start number pick up and on site registration in the race headquarter (Balatonfüred, Szabadidő és Konferencia központ) on 13.09.2024 from 12’00-20’00 and on 14.09.2024. from 06’30-08’30

Program:

• 09.00 – Slow start from Balatonfüred Vitorlás square
• 13:00 – First rider arrival at Balatonfüreden Lapostelki street (finish area)
• 14:30: Award ceremony at Balatonfüred, Szabadidő és Konferencia központ
• 15:00 Raffle prices drawing at Balatonfüred, Szabadidő és Konferencia központ

Route details:

• Slow start for 5 km long and flying start in Tihany on the lakeside road
• Route: 140 km including the slow start) / 1500 m elevation
• Route map: The GPX file will be uploaded after we received all the road authorizations, hopefully until 30.06.2024
• Feed zones: Gella mountain top (29,8 km), Káptalantóti (77 km), Vigántpetend mountain top (114 km), Balatonfüred finish area (140 km)
• Route: Balatonfüred Vitorlás square (slow start)  – Tihany rév – Tihany apátság -Aszófő – Balatonfüred –Balatonszőlős– Tótvázsony – Pécsely – Vászoly – Dörgicse – Mencshely – Balatoncsicsó – Monoszló – Kővágóörs –Káptalantóti– Badacsonytomaj– Tapolca – Kapolcs – Vígánpetend – Nagyvázsony-Barnag, Pécsely – Aszófő- Balatonfüred Lapostelki street (finish).
• Limit: 6 hour

Time keeping: with chip. results are printed on site at the race office and also available for online download on race website.

Trophies:

• for the first women/man the rider in age 16-18: trophy + cycling accessories
• for the first women/man the rider in age 19-39: trophy + cycling accessories
• for the first women/man the rider in age 40-49: trophy + cycling accessories
• for the first women/man the rider in age 50-59: trophy + cycling accessories
• for the first women/man the rider in above 60: trophy + cycling accessories

Rules:

• Starting the granfondo is only possible with the official start number
• Participants can ride with any kind of bike, except recumbent bike. Time trial bar is forbidden!
• All participants can start on her/his own risk and must comply with hungarian traffic regulations
• Helmet use is mandatory during the whole grandondo
• Organizers assumes the responsibility for any accidents during the event and shall not be liable for any compensation
• Organizers reserve the right for route changes

• Minimum participation age 16 years

Declaration of participant:

• I participate in the event on my own risk.
• If necessary, I agree to medical examination, I accept th doctors instructions. 
• The field of participants will be accompanied by ambulances and emergency doctors over the entire distance. The first aid at the accident site is the sole responsibility of the rescue organisation and is free of charge for the participants.
• After the payment of registration fee, in case of cancellation the amount is not retransferable.
